Post Care Instructions:
Mild redness and swelling around hair follicles with mild sunburn feeling is expected on the first day. Some people may react more and last for a few days. Notify Dr. Kent Clinic if it persists longer than a week. Keep area clean. You may apply cool compresses/ice for 15 minutes/hour for comfort. Gently cleanse the area twice daily with gentle cleanser ie. Kent’s Nourishing Cleanser followed by Kent’s Soothing Essence. Avoid irritants (glycolics acid, salicyclic acid, retinoids) until all redness/swelling resolves. Moisturizers (Kent's Whitening Cream, Anti-oxidant Rejuvenation Cream) can be used twice daily if they do not sting. Apply sunscreen with zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide daily for at least six weeks if not for your lifetime! We suggest Kent's SPF50 Matifying or Glowing Sunscreen which are non-greasy. Shaving should be avoided until redness/peri-follicular swelling is fully resolved. Begin with light shaving. Avoid strenuous exercise for the day as sweating may sting. Make-up may be used as long as skin is not broken or irritated.
